Chef Without Borders

Bridging Cultures Through Cuisine

A global journey using food to connect people, cultures, and stories.

Food is more than nourishment. It is memory, identity, history, hospitality, and one of humanity's oldest languages.

Chef Without Borders is a global culinary journey founded by Sheraz Malik — a chef, entrepreneur, storyteller, and traveler exploring the world through food.

From the streets of Lahore to the markets of Bangkok, from village kitchens to modern culinary schools, this project exists to celebrate people, traditions, and the stories carried through every plate.

Current Journey

Crossing borders with curiosity and an open table. From the markets of Thailand to the kitchens of Cambodia and the flavors of Vietnam, this current chapter is about learning regional traditions, sharing stories, and discovering how food connects us beyond language.

Food Anthropology & Cultural History

At the heart of Chef Without Borders is a deep fascination with food anthropology—the study of how food, culture, migration, and history interweave across regions and generations.

Every dish tells a story: of trade routes, invasions, diaspora, innovation, and human resilience. Sheraz explores how spices traveled empires, how cuisines evolved through cultural exchange, and how regional identity is preserved through food.

This journey is being documented for an upcoming book exploring the hidden histories, cultural significance, and evolution of cuisines from around the world—connecting food, people, and the forces that shaped them.
